A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
TO SIGN THE PETITION FOR A WATER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
TO BE FORMED IN JOHN BARROW ADDITION .
WHEREAS , the City is the owner of Blocks 39, 40 , 57 and
58 of John Barrow Addition; and
WHEREAS , Lots 11 and 12 of Block 57 and Lots 7 to 12
inclusive of Block 58 are within the boundaries of the proposed
water improvement district, and it is proposed by the City to
use this property for public park purposes ; and
WHEREAS , the proponents of the district have agreed that
since this property will be used for a governmental purpose it
cannot and will not be assessed any benefits to pay for the
improvement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk of said City be
and they are hereby authorized to sign the petition for the pro-
posed water improvement district on behalf of the City, with the
provision that no assessment of benefits shall be levied upon the
above described property in Blocks 57 and 58 that are within the
boundaries of said water improvement district.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
