A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A BID BY ARKANSAS FOUNDRY
COMPANY IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $87, 000.00 FOR A
TRACT OF LAND IN THE LITTLE ROCK PORT INDUSTRIAL
DISTRICT; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE A WARRANTY DEED IN FAVOR OF THE ARKANSAS
FOUNDRY COMPANY UPON PAYMENT OF THE TOTAL AMOUNT
OF THE BID PRICE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, invitation to bid for the following described
property has been duly advertised and a public auction held pur-
suant to said advertised notice to bidders, and a bid received
purusant thereto according to law:
A parcel of land situated in NE4, SE4, Section 16,
Township 1 North, Range 11 West, of Pulaski County,
Arkansas, and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the proposed east
right-of-way line of Fourche Dam Pike and the south
right-of-way line of proposed Lindsey Road; thence
South 01°30 ' 52" West along said proposed east right-
of-way of Fourche Dam Pike 1000.00 feet; thence
South 88 °29 ' 08" East 900.00 feet; thence North 01°
30 ' 52" West 1146. 78 feet to a point on said south
right-of-way of proposed Lindsey Road; thence South
78°43 ' 34" West along said South right-of-way 662 .45
feet; thence North 88°31 ' 06" West along said south
right-of-way 253. 99 feet to the point of beginning,
and containing 21. 75 acres, more or less.
and,
WHEREAS, the highest responsible and responsive bid received
was that of Arkansas Foundry Company in the total sum of Eighty-seven
Thousand and NO/100 Dollars ($87, 000 .00) , same being equivalent to
Four Thousand and NO/100 Dollars ($4, 000.00) per acre; and it is the
desire of the City of Little Rock based upon a recommendation of
the Little Rock Port Authority to accept said bid and to sell said
land to the successful bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The bid of Arkansas Foundry Company for the
above described property in the amount of Eighty-seven Thousand
and NO/100 Dollars ($87, 000.00) is hereby accepted, and the Mayor
is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, a Warranty Deed conveying said
property to the Arkansas Foundry Company, and the City Clerk is

hereby authorized and directed to attest said Deed; and the City
Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to deliver same to the
Arkansas Foundry Company upon full payment of the sum of Eighty-
seven Thousand and NO/100 Dollars ($87, 000.00) .
SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
