A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
FILE AN APPLICATION FOR ADVANCE FOR FUNDS FOR
PUBLIC WORKS PLANNING WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF
HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT OF THE FEDERAL
GOVERNMENT IN CONNECTION WITH A PROPOSED CON-
VENTION CENTER PROPOSED IN THE AREA OF MARKHAM
AND• SPRING STREETS ; AND FOR• OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized
and directed to file for and on behalf of the City of Little
Rock with the Department of Housing and Urban Development of
the Federal Government an "Application for Advance for Public
Works Planning" for the purpose of making funds available to
the City for planning a convention center in the area of Mark-
ham and Spring Streets in this City.
SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption.
