HomeMy WebLinkAbout3949 RESOLUTION NO. -1,949 A RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION TO THE REPRESENTA- TIVES AND SENATORS REPRESENTING PULASKI COUNTY IN THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the first extra ordinary session of the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas of 1967, having recently adjourned entertained and caused to be enacted, meaningful legislation which can be most beneficial to the public health, welfare and economy of central Arkansas ; and WHEREAS, Pulaski CountyTs Representatives and Senators, as members of said General Assembly, supported such legislation for which this Board of Directors individually and for and on behalf of the citizens of Little Rock, Arkansas, desire to ex- press appreciation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. SECTION 1. The Board of Directors individually and for and on behalf of the citizens of this City do, by this Resolution, express deep and sincere appreciation and gratitude to the members of the House of Representatives and the Senate representing Pulaski County in the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas for 1967, in its first extra ordinary session recently adjourned, wherein legislation was enacted permitting the City to have tollway authorities and provide for public off-street parking under the authority of Act 409 of 1967, as amended, in conjunction with convention centers. Both of these Legislative Acts unquestionably can be vitally beneficial to the public health, welfare and economy, not only in the City of Little Rock but in central Arkansas and it is the desire of the Board of Directors that the Pulaski County Delegation individually as herein identified, be commended for their continued constructive support. The City Manager is hereby requested to cause a copy of this Resolution to be delivered to each of the members of the House of Representatives and Senate as hereinabove identified. SECTION 3.
