A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO SIGN A PETITION FOR THE FORMATION
OF A. SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT WHICH CAN
SERVE THE CITY' S WEST END PARK; AUTHORIZING
THE PAYMENT OF $500.00 TO SAID SEWER IMPROVE-
MENT DISTRICT AS THE CITY'S SHARE OF THE COST
FOR THE IMPROVEMENT TO BE CONSTRUCTED THEREIN
AT SUCH TIME AS THE CITY SHALL, IN ITS DISCRET-
ION UTILIZE THE DISTRICT'S IMPROVEMENTS BY CON-
NECTING THE WEST END PARK TO SUCH IMPROVEMENTS;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, residents and owners of the property in the
area identified as John Barrow Addition to the City of Little
Rock are proposing the formation of a sewer improvement district
to serve said area and have asked the City' s assistance in the
organization of such district; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors desire to have the
City' s West End Park be served by said district and is agreeable
to signing a petition for the organization thereof, conditioned,
however, that the City's total responsibility for such project
shall not exceed the sum of Five Hundred and NO/100 Dollars
($500.00) and shall be payable only at such time as the City
shall, in its discretion connect its West End Park to said sewer
improvement district lines.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to, for and on behalf of the City of Little Rock, be-
come a party to a petition or petitions for the purpose of organiz-
ing a sewer improvement district along with other persons, firms
or corporations in the John Barrow Addition to the City of Little
Rock which can serve the City' s West End Park and commit the City
to pay up to the sum of Five Hundred and NO/100 Dollars ($500.00)
as the City' s stare of the cost of improvements to be constructed
by said district. Provided, however, under no conditions shall the
City' s share of the total cost exceed or be permitted to exceed the
sum of Five Hundred and NO/100 Dollars ($500.00) tntal based on the

theory of betterments as determined by said district, and shall
not be an obligation of or paid out by the City until it shall,
in its discretion, cause the West End Park to be connected to
the improvement district lines.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption.
