A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, SETTING A DATE FOR HEARING ON
THE MATTER OF VACATING STREETS AND ALLEYS BOUNDED BY
WEST 36TH STREET ON THE NORTH, WEST 38TH STREET ON THE
SOUTH, POTTER STREET ON THE EAST, AND WALKER STREET ON
THE WEST, ALL LYING WITHIN THE JOHN BARROW ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock,
under the authority vested in it by Arkansas Statute, proposes to close,
vacate and abandon the following described streets and alleys: (1 ) 37TH
Street from Walker Street to Potter Street; (2) Gilman Street from 38th
Street to 36th Street; all alleys located in Blocks 39, 40, 57 and 58,
John Barrow Addition now appearing of record in Deed Book 1 , Page 55,
in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas, subject,
however, to any public utility easements located in said streets and
alleys.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1 . The hearing on the motion by the City set forth
above shall be heard at the meeting of the Board of Directors at City
Hall at 7:3f) o'clock P . M. on the 13th day of March, 1968.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice
of such hearing in the manner prescribed by law by publication, once a
week for two consecutive weeks, in a newspaper published in Pulaski County,
Arkansas, for general circulation in the City of Little Rock.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
