A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT ON
BIDS FOR CERTAIN ITEMS OF EQUIPMENT
TO BE USED BY THE SANITATION DEPART-
MENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, invitation to bid was duly advertised and
bids received pursuant thereto according to law for certain
items of equipment for use in the Sanitation Department of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bids have
been determined and it is the desire of the Board of Directors
to authorize a contract for the purchase of said equipment from
the lowest responsible and responsive bidders.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The bids of the respective bidders in the
sums below for the several items of equipment as identified are
hereby accepted and purchase contracts awarded as follows:
SUCCESSFUL PURCHASE .-RICE INCLUDING
ITEM BIDDER TAX AND FREIGHT
Four (4) Trucks and International
Chassis capable of Harvester Co. $23, 945.91
being equipped with
20 cubic yard garbage beds
Four (4) cubic yard garbage
beds to be mounted on the
herein above identified Davis Trailer
trucks and chassis Equipment Company 20, 958.40
SECTION 2. Upon delivery of the foregoing equipment
complying in all respects with the bidding specifications and
bid proposal the City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby
authorized and directed to execute the necessary warrant or warrants
in payment of the purchase price.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
