A RESOLUTION CONCURRING WITH THE LITTLE ROCK
MUNICIPAL PARKING AUTHORITY IN THE ADOPTION OF
THE "PARKING SURVEY AND PROGRAM OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS" PREPARED BY E. A. BARTON
AND ASSOCIATES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, E. A. Barton and Associates, traffic,
transportation, parking and planning consultants of Cleveland,
Ohio have heretofore following a study prepared and presented to
the Parking Authority of the City of Little Rock and the City
Government generally a report and recommendations in a publication
entitled "Parking Survey Program of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas" dated July 1966; and
WHEREAS, the Parking Authority has adopted the recommen-
dations contained in the said report as its program in the City
of Little Rock and requests this Board of Directors to concur
with such action; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has determined that the
recommendations contained in the said report are meritorious and
warrant the concerted effort of all interested parties to the end
that said recommendations at least serve as a guide in future
efforts to solve and/or improve the traffic, parking and transpor-
tation problems that are currently present and are anticipated in
the future in this city.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors hereby concurs with
the recommendations of the Parking Authority in adopting the
"Parking Survey and Program of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas"
dated July 1966 and prepared by E. A. Barton and Associates wherein
recommendations are contained pretaining to matters of traffic, of
public parking and transportation in this community. It is the
understanding of this concurrence that the said report and
recommendations will be utilized as a guide in the endeavors and
undertakings of the City designed to adequately provide for traffic,
public parking and transportation.

SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
