HomeMy WebLinkAbout3682 RESOLUTION NO. 3,682 A RESOLUTION HONORING THE SERVICE OF LEO H. GRIFFIN AS A MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK. WHEREAS, Leo H. Griffin has served on the Legislative Body of the Little Rock City Government a total of eleven (11) years ending December 31, 1966; first serving as a Member of the City Council between April, 1928, and April 1932 and next as a Member of the Board of Directors between January 1958, and December 1960, and again as a Member of the Board of Directors between January 1563, and December, 1966; and WHEREAS, his conscientious dedication and determination has always been instrumental in the final evaluation and judgment of the Board of Directors in all matters coming before it and more particularly in any matter involving the expenditure of public funds; and WHEREAS, the retirement of Leo H. Griffin from City Government is a loss which all citizens of this community will long realize. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. SECTION 1. That Leo H. Griffin having served this City as a Member of the Legislative Body for a period of eleven (11) years since April, 1928, the last seven (7 ) years of which having served as a Member of the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock and having displayed in this service, wisdom and integrity, is hereby extended grateful thanks on behalf of his associates and all constituents. As he retires from public service, it is the sincere hope and desire of each Member of the Board of Directors that Leo H. Griffin in the years that follow will be able to reflect back on this service with pleasure and pride. SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
