A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK
TO APPLY FOR WATER GRANTS FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF
HOUSING AND URBAN AUTHORIZED OD STATES

TO MAKE APPLICATION THEREFOR
WHEREAS, the waterworks system serving the City of Little
Rock is owned by the City but is operated and maintained by the
Board of Commissioners of the Little Rock Municipal Water Works
under authority of state law and city ordinance; and
WHEREAS, under certain circumstances, the Department of
Housing and Urban Development of the United States of America is
authorized to make grants to municipalities under the "Water &
Sewer Facilities Grant Program" ; and
WHEREAS, such grants might be available to the City of
Little Rock for its municipal waterworks system from time to
time; Now, Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the City of Little Rock apply for any
grants which might be available now and in the future for the
Little Rock Municipal Water Works system under the "Water &
Sewer Facilities Grant Program" of the Department of Housing
and Urban Development of the United States of America.
SECTION 2. That Jack H. Wilson, Manager of the Little Rock
Municipal Water Works, is hereby designated as the "Authorized
Officer" to sign applications on behalf of the City of Little
Rock and its waterworks system for any such grants.
