A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF
AMERICAN COATING COMPANY FOR SLURRY
SEAL TREATMENT OF STREETS WITHIN THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AUTHORIZINs PAY-
MENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, invitation to bid was duly published accord-
ing to law and bids were received pursuant thereto for the appli-
cation of approximately One Hundred Ninety-Six Thousand, Five
Hundred Eighty-Two (196, 582) square yards of slurry seal to be
applied to the streets within the City of Little Rock; and,
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bid
was the bid of American Coating Company of Little Rock, Arkansas,
in the unit price of $. 1148 (11.48 cents) per square yard applied,
which, projected to the estimated square yards necessary, calcu-
lates to a bid of Twenty-Two Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-Seven
and 62/100 Dollars ($22, 567 .62) ; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock to accept the bid of American Coating
Company and to authorize payment for the work and materials when
and as due.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The bid of American Coating Company of
Little Rock, Arkansas, in the unit price of $.1148 (11. 48 cents)
per square yard, applied as directed by the City of Little Rock,
for approximately One Hundred Ninety-Six Thousand Five Hundred
Eighty-Two (196, 582) square yards is hereby accepted.
SECTION 2. The City Manager and Director of Finance
are hereby authorized and directed, upon completion of the work by
American Coating Company in accordance with the specifications and
bidding instruments, to pay for said work and materials by issuing
the necessary warrant or warrants in payment for said work.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption.
