RESOLUTION NO. 3,55o
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A FRANCHISE TO BROWN
REALTY COMPANY, T. J. RANEY AND SONS, AND
ARKANSAS-LOUISIANA GAS COMPANY FOR THE
PLANTING AND INSTALLATION OF SHRUBBERY AND
TREES WITHIN PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY PURSUANT
TO CODE OF ORDINANCES, SECTION 36-34; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Brown Realty Company is completing construction
of a building at the corner of Main and Second Streets in
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and desires to landscape
the same according to plans and drawings heretofore submitted
to the Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, T. J. Raney and Sons is constructing a
building at the corner of Second and Louisiana Streets in
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and desires to land-
scape the same according to plans and drawings heretofore
submitted to the Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, the Arkansas-Louisiana Gas Company is construct-
ing a building in the City of Little Rock at Rock Street
between Fourth and Fifth Streets, and desires to landscape
the same according to plans and drawings heretofore submitted
to the Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, all of the foregoing builders and developers
have complied in all respects with the provisions of
Section 36-34 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, and it is the desire of this Board
of Directors to grant a franchise to each of the fore-
going named builders to plant trees and shrubbery as
planned within certain public right-of-way;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Under and pursuant to the provisions of
Section 36-34 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, a franchise for the planting of trees

and shrubbery in accordance with the plans and drawings
pertaining thereto on file with the Department of Community
Development of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, but
subject to the final approval thereof by the Director of
the Department of Community Development and of the City
Manager, is granted to Brown Realty Company.
SECTION 2. Under and pursuant to the provisions of
Section 36-34 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas a franchise for the planting of
trees and shrubbery in accordance with the plans and
drawings pertaining thereto on file with the Department
of Community Development of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, but subject to the final approval thereof by
the Director of the Department of Community Development
and of the City Manager, is granted to T. J. Raney and
Sons.
SECTION 3. Under and pursuant to the provisions
of Section 36-34 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas a franchise for the planting of
trees and shrubbery in accordance with the plans and
drawings pertaining thereto on file with the Department
of Community Development of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, but subject to the final approval thereof by
the Director of the Department of Community Development
and of the City Manager, is granted to Arkansas-Louisiana
Gas Company.
SECTION 4. This resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption.
