A RESOLUTION GRANTING TO C. N. GOODWIN
DISABILITY RETIREMENT BENEFITS UNDER
SECTION 2-24 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, C. N. Goodwin was employed by the
City of Little Rock on September 27, 1945, and continued
in said employment until his effective disability retire-
ment date of April 1, 1966 a period of twenty (20) years;
and,
WHEREAS, under Section 2-24 of the Code of
Ordinances it is the desire of this Board of Directors
to retain C. N. Goodwin on the City of Little Rock pay-
roll in his pay grade at date of retirement for a period
of Twenty (20) months and fifteen (15) days which period
will thus end on December 15, 1967, subject, however, to
deductions from said monthly salary equal to payments
received hereafter by C. N. Goodwin under the mutual
retirement benefits of the non-uniform employees retirement
plan and further subject to the deduction when and as
received by C. N. Goodwin of the disability retirements
benefits under the Social Security Administration, an
agency of the United States of America;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager and Director of
Finance are hereby authorized and directed to continue the
salary established for C. N. Goodwin as of April 1, 1966,

payable in the nature of disability retirement benefits
through and including December 15, 1967. Upon becoming
elegible to receive and upon receiving benefits under the
mutual retirement program under the non-uniform employees
retirement plan of the City of Little Rock and upon re-
ceiving, when elegible, the disability retirement benefits
under the Social Secutiry Administration, an agency of the
United States of America, the said C. N. Goodwin shall have
deducted from the monthly payments, authorized hereunder,
all such sums received by him so that monthly, from and
after his elegibility under the foregoing programs, the
said C. N. Goodwin shall receive no more than Two Hundred
Sixty Five and no/100 Dollars ($265.00) per month for the
term of this resolution.
SECTION 2. The Director of Finance is hereby
authorized and directed to determine and compute monthly
the sum due C. N. Goodwin hereunder, which together with
the other sources of income mentioned herein shall aggregate
the sum of Two Hundred Sixty Five and no/100 Dollars
($265.00) and to pay same monthly to the said C. N. Goodwin.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption.
