HomeMy WebLinkAbout118751 7 RESOLUTION NO. 11,875 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF A COMPLETE FUEL 5 MANAGEMENT SYSTEM TO BE UTILIZED BY THE FLEET 6 SERVICES DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, the Fleet Services Department needs a complete Fuel Management 9 System to replace an antiquated fuel system currently being used, and 10 WHEREAS, the new system will allow for more efficient reporting of fuel 11 purchase, fuel consumption, and inventory tank level reporting as required by current 12 EPA rules and regulations, and 13 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids under Bid #4300R for the 14 purchase of the Fuel Management System, and the lowest responsible and responsive 15 bid meeting minimum specifications was received from Trak Engineering, Inc., in the 16 amount of One Hundred Eight -five Thousand, One Hundred Thirty -eight and 35/100 17 Dollars ($185,138.35). 18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 19 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 20 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter 21 into a contract for the purchase of a complete Fuel Management System for the Fleet 22 Services Department from Trak Engineering, Inc., for the amount of One Hundred 23 Eighty -five Thousand, One Hundred Thirty -eight and 35/100 Dollars ($185,138.35). 24 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from the 2004 Short Term 25 Financing Account. 26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, 27 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or [PAGE 1 OF 21 Resolution To purchase clumptruck for the Public Works Department 1 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining 2 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so 3 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 4 resolution. 5 Section 4. Repealer.
