HomeMy WebLinkAbout13705 1 RESOLUTION NO. 13,705 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO CONTRACTS WITH SIX (6) ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE 5 SUMMER RECREATION PROGRAMS TO LITTLE ROCK YOUTH 6 AGES SIX(6)—FIFTEEN (15); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing Prevention, Intervention and Youth 9 Development Programs and services to enhance public safety and community-building, and 10 WHEREAS, the City advertised a formal Bid No. 13123 to solicit proposals for Little Rock Summer 11 Recreation Programs for Little Rock youth ages six(6)to fifteen (15), and 12 WHEREAS, a review committee met and reviewed the proposals submitted on May 17, 2013, 13 determined the lowest responsible and responsive bidders, and recommends the organizations listed 14 below for contract awards. 15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 17 Section 1. Contracts for Summer Recreation programs are hereby awarded to the following 18 organizations: 19 Organization Bid 20 Boys&Girls Clubs of Central Arkansas-Thrasher $15,000.00 21 Boys& Girls Clubs of Central Arkansas-Penick $15,000.00 22 Boys&Girls Clubs of Central Arkansas-Mitchell $15,000.00 23 Boys&Girls Clubs of Central Arkansas-Whetstone $15,000.00 24 Joseph Pfeifer Camp(Males) $15,244.00 25 Joseph Pfeifer Camp(Females) $15,244.00 26 In His Image Youth Development Center $18,139.00 27 EMOBA Teens in Action $18,686.00 28 Unto Others, Inc./Summer Day Camp $20,000.00 29 Centers for Youth and Families-Kids of Character $16,757.00 30 31 TOTAL $164,070.00 32 33 Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contracts with these organizations providing 34 summer recreation programs and services, upon approval of the contract by the City Attorney. 35 Section 3. Funds for these programs are from the 2013 PIT Allocation, account number S15A173. 36 Section 4. The term of the contract is from June 10, 2013,to July 26, 2013. 37 Section 5. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be 38 invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this [Page 1 of 2] 1 resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or 2 unconstitutional were not originally a part of this resolution. 3 Section 6. Repealer.
