A RE:SOLUTIOw RECOGAIZIi G RAY yyIADER FOR
HIS PROMOTION OF MI£ORLL,LEAGUE BASEBALL
AND FOR PUBLIC SERVICE TO THE CITIZELVS
OF THIS COMMUAITY; Aa D FOR OTHER PURROSES:
WHEREAS, for the greater part of 51 years,
the citizens of the greater Little :ock area have been
afforded an opportunity to support and enjoy minor league
baseball to the enrichment and benefit of the community;
and,
WHEREAS, the presence of minor league baseball
in this community for longer than most of us can recall has
been due largely, if not at times wholly, to the influence
of Ray Winder and his continuing effort and perseverance;
and,
WHEREAS, in order that the very outstanding
contribution of :say 'Minder to the citizens of the City
of Little Rock through his membership on the Board of
Directors of this City be recognized; and,

Ray Winder possesses as a person all of the finer
qualities of a moral leader in this community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD
OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKAASAS:
SECTIOi 1. Ray Winder is hereby recognized and
commended for his unending efforts and labors in making

available to this area minor league baseball, thereby
enriching and improving the community of greater Little
Rock.

SECTION 2. The service of Ray Winder on the
Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock is hereby
recognized and the remaining members of the Board of
Directors of this City wish to express for and in behalf
of the citizens thereof, a deep and sincere appreciation
for his guidance, experience, judgment and wisdom as
applied to the affairs of this city.
SECTION 3. It is the sincere hope and desire
of this Board of Directors that for many years to come,
this community might receive continued benefit from the
participation by Ray Winder in the affairs of this City
and that the lives of its citizens may continue to be
enriched by his presence and activities among them.
SECTION 4. This resolution shall be in full
force and effect from and after its adoption.
