A RESOLUTION FIXING THE DATE FOR A HEARING ON A PETITION
TO VACATE, ABANDON AND CLOSE THE NORTH-SOUTH ALLEY LOCATED
WITHIN BLOCK 7, POPE'S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
BETWEEN EAST MARKHAM STREET AND EAST SECOND STREET IN
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Little Rock,

Arkansas , and Charles M. Taylor, individually, and as Trustee under
the Will of Elizabeth P. Taylor, deceased, have filed with the
Little Rock City Board of Directors their Petition praying that
the North-South alley located within Block 7, Pope's Addition to
the City of Little Rock, between East Markham Street and East Second
Street in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, as more particularly
described in said Petition, and the Plat attached thereto, be
vacated, abandoned and closed, and have alleged that they are the
sole owners of the lands abutting upon same;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Board of Direc-
tors of Little Rock, Arkansas :
Section 1. That Tuesday, the 7th day of September, 1965,
at 7 :30 o'clock gm. , in the Chambers of the Board of Directors,
City Hall Building, is the date and time fixed for the hearing on
this Petition.
Section 2. That the City Clerk of Little Rock, Arkansas,
give notice of such hearing by publication, once a week for two
(2) consecutive weeks , in some newspaper published in the County
and having a general circulation in the City, stating in said
Notice the names of Petitioners , a description of the alley to be
vacated, and advising all persons that on the date named above, the
Board of Directors will hear the Petition and determine whether
said alley should be vacated and closed.
