2 A RESOLUTION TO APPOINT BERNARD E. 'BEK" KAISER AS
3 COMMISSIONER OF KANIS MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
4 No. 10; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
5 WHEREAS, Kanis Municipal Improvement District No. 10, organized pursuant to
6 the authority of Arkansas Code Annotated §§ 14 -88 -201 et seq. (the "Act ") was created by
7 Little Rock, Arkansas Ordinance No. 18,677, on April 16, 2002; and
8 WHEREAS, Mr. Michael Loveless has resigned as Commissioner; and
9 WHEREAS, Ark. Code Ann. §14 -88 -303 provides that vacancies of Commissioners
to shall be filled by appointment of the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock; and
11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
12 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
13 Section 1. It is hereby determined that there exists a vacancy of the Board of
14 Commissioners of Kanis Municipal Improvement District No. 10, by virtue of the
15 resignation of Mr. Michael Loveless, who was appointed to that office.
16 Section 2. Mr. Bernard E. "Bek" Kaiser, a person meeting the requirements of the
17 said Act, is hereby appointed as a member of the Board of Commissioners of Kanis
18 Municipal Improvement District No. 10.

The captioned district was created by Little Rock City Ordinance 18,677 on April 16, 2002.
One of the original commissioners was Michael Loveless, and he has resigned. A copy of his
resignation is enclosed. The other two commissioners have requested that Bernard E. "Bek" Kaiser
be appointed a new commissioner. Enclosed for your review is a resolution which would accomplish
the appointment. Please put this on the Board of Director's agenda and let me know when it will be
considered.
