RESOLUTION NO. 3,300
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE ENGINEERING
REPORT BY GARVER AND GARVER OF LITTLE ROCK
AND FORREST AND COTTON OF DALLAS, TEXAS,
IN CONNECTION WITH THE PROPOSED SEWER
IMPROVEMENTS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, on August 17, 1964, this Board of Directors
adopted Resolution No. 3205, which resolution accepted an offer
of the United States of America under Public Law No. 560, 33rd
Congress of the United States, for the preparation of advance
planning for public works; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said offer, a planning project was
undertaken which is identified as the Arkansas River Interceptor,
a sewer line designed to eliminate the flow of raw sewage into
the Arkansas River; and
WHEREAS Forrest and Cotton, Inc. , and Garver and Garver,
Inc. , engineering firms, were engaged to prepare the planning
documents for the aforesaid public work and said engineers have
completed documents and submitted them for approval; and
WHEREAS the completed planning documents have been care-
fully studied and are considered to comprise adequate planning
of the public work essential to the community and within the
financial ability of the Little Rock Sanitary Sewer Committee
to construct;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1. A "Report on Providing Sanitary Sewer Service
for Arkansas River Drainage Area, " dated February, 1965, pre-
pared and submitted by Forrest and Cotton, Inc. , and Garver and
Garver, Inc. , engineering firms, as the basis for detailed plan-
ning of the Arkansas River Interceptor Sewer Line is hereby
approved.

SECTION 2. Form CFA-430, Request for Review and Approval
of Planning Documents, as completed, and on file in the office
of the City Clerk of the City of Little Rock, in connection
with Housing and Home Finance Agency Project No. P-ARK-3110, be
and is hereby approved.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to submit certified copies of this resolution in such manner and
number as may be required to the Housing and Home Finance Agency.
SECTION 4. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
