HomeMy WebLinkAbout3299 RESOLUTION NO. 3,299 A RESOLUTION SETTING A DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING UPON THE MATTER OF CLOSING A PORTION. OF WILSON STREET LYING, BETWEEN ASHER AVENUE AND WEST TWENTY-NINTH (29TH) STREET IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AUTHORIZING NOTICE OF SAID. PUBLIC HEARING; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS it has come to the attention of the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock that a portion of Wilson Street lying between Asher Avenue and West Twenty-Ninth(29th) Street in the City of Little Rock has been intermittently used from time to time as a public thoroughfare; and WHEREAS it is a matter of concern to the Board of Directors whether or not said street is needed any further for corporate or public purposes; and WHEREAS the Board of Directors proposes to vacate and abandon the aforesaid portion of Wilson Street in the event same is found to be not needed for corporate or public purposes as a thoroughfare at the present time or for the foreseeable future; and WHEREAS, in order to properly determine the fact concerning this matter, a public hearing should be held; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS : SECTION 1. The regular meeting of the Board of Directors to be held on Monday, April 6, 1965, at 7 : 30 o 'clock, p.m. , is hereby set and established as the date and time for a public hearing on the vacating and abandoning of a portion of Wilson Street lying between Asher Avenue and West Twenty-Ninth (29th) Street in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas. SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish such notices as shall be required by law to notify the public of the time and place for the public hearing described in Section 1 hereof. .. 14%. -2- SECTION 3.
