RESOLUTION NO. 3,249
A RESOLUTION HONORING THE SERVICE TO THIS
CITY OF WERNER C. KNOOP FOR HIS CONTRIBUTION
AS A MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK.
WHEREAS, Werner C. Knoop has completed two consecutive
terms on the Board of Directors of this City; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure of seven years, he has twice
served as Mayor of this City; and
WHEREAS, since the installation of the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock in 1957, Werner C. Knoop has par-
ticipated in every major decision and has contributed greatly
to the solution of each and every problem confronting this
City and has generously applied his years of wide and valuable
experience to the problems of this City; and
WHEREAS, his judgment, foresight, perception and acknow-
ledged leadership have figured heavily in the many successes
of this government;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That Werner C. Knoop, having served the citi-
zens of this community as a member of the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock and having discharged the trust and
obligation of his office with highest integrity, excellent
judgment and the unselfish giving of his valuable time from
both home and business , is hereby extended the deep and warm
appreciation befitting and due him in behalf of all of the
citizens of this City. It is the hope of this Board of Directors
and each member individually that Werner C. Knoop will recall
his experiences and service on this Board with fond recollection,
and assurance is hereby given that the unqualified appreciation

of all who have joined him in service to this City will
always remain has here and now expressed.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
