A RESOLUTION GRANTING A FRANCHISE TO 555 INC. , FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A CANOPY OVER PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY AT
THE REAR OF ITS BUILDING AT EIGHTH AND GAINES STREETS
IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
aO CK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. 555 INC. is hereby `ranted a right and fran-
chise to construct on its building located partially on Lot 3,
Block 130, of the original City of Little Rock, a canopy, which
canopy shall extend not in excess of ten (10) feet over the
public alley abutting the North line of the aforesaid lot, and
shall extend along said building not in excess of twenty-five
(25) feet. The said canopy shall be not less than fifteen (15)
feet above the grade of the alley, shall be constructed of non-
combustible material, and shall be supported entirely by the
building to which it is attached by cantilever or overhead
support.
SECTION 2. A canopy authorized in Section 1 hereof shall
be constructed in all respects in compliance with the applica-
ble Building Code of this City; and this City retains the right
to revoke this franchise at any time the said alley and right-
of-way is needed for public purposes ; and, if needed for such
purposes, 555 INC. , its successors or assigns, shall be required
to remove all portions of the canopy within the right-of-way so
needed for public purposes and shall be required to pay all costs
necessary to effect the removal of such part or all of the canopy
from the said alley and public right-of-way.
SECTION 3. This _K.esolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption and approval.
