A RESOLUTION GRANTING TO WILLIE T. SMITH, A CITY EMPLOYEE,
DISABILITY RETIREMENT BENEFITS UNDER SECTION 2-24 OF CODE
OF ORDINANCES FOR THE CITY OF LITTLE Em CK, ARKANSAS; , ND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Willie T. Smith was employed by the City of Little
Rock on May 4, 1954, and retired from the employ of the City of
Little Rock due to physical disability on June 15, 1964, having
worked for the City of Little Rock for a period of ten (10)
years, one (1) month and eleven (11) days; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Directors to
follow the procedures established and recognized in Section 2-24
of the Code of Ordinances and continue Willie T. Smith on the
payroll in his present position for eleven (11) months or through-
out the month of April, 1965.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager and Director of Finance are
hereby authorized and directed to continue the salary as now
established for Willie T. Smith, retired City employee, through
and including the month of April, 1965, but not thereafter.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
