A RESOLUTION FIXING THE DATE FOR A HEARING ON
A PETITION TO VACATE, ABANDON AND CLOSE THE
NORTH-SOUTH ALLEY LOCATED IN THE BLOCK BOUNDED
BY EAST FOURTH STREET, COMMERCE STREET, EAST
FIFTH STREET (CAPITOL AVENUE) , AND ROCK STREET
IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKA NSA S .
WHEREAS , the Housing Authority of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas , has filed with the Little Rock City Board of Directors
its Petition praying that the North-South alley located in the
block bounded by East Fourth Street, Commerce Street , East Fifth
Street (Capitol Avenue) , and Rock Street, in the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas , as more particularly described in said Petition ,
and the Plat attached thereto, be vacated, abandoned and closed,
and has alleged that the Litle Rock Housing Authority is the sole
owner of the lands abutting upon same ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS ;
Section 1. That the 6th day of July 1964, at 7:30
o 'clock p .m. , in the chambers of the Board of Directors is
the date and time fixed for the hearing on this Petition.
Section 2 . That the City Clerk of Little Rock,Arkansas , give
notice of such hearing by publication, once a week for two (2)
consecutive weeks , in some newspaper published in the Couriy and
having a general circulation in the City, stating in said Notice the
name of Petitioner, a description of the alley to be vacated, and
advising all persons that on the date named above, the Board of
Directors will hear the Petition and determine whether said alley
should be closed.
