A RESOLUTION APPOINTING FIVE (5) MEMBERS TO THE HISTORIC
DISTRICT COMMISSION CREATED PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE NO.
11,393; PRESCRIBING THE TERM OF OFFICE OF EACH SUCH MEMBER;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 11,393 , same being: "An Ordinance
Creating an Historic District Commission within the City of Little
Rock; Providing for Powers and Limitations of the said Commission;
And for Other Purposes.`, was duly passed on May 6, 1963 ; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that members of the Commission be
appointed under and pursuant to Section 1 of the aforesaid Ordinance
to carry out the initial functions and duties of the said Commission
as called for in the aforesaid Ordinance;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. John J. Truemper is hereby
appointed to serve as a member of the Historic District Commission
for a term of one (1) year coirnuencing the 16th day of July, 1963 ,
and ending on the 16th day of July, 1964.
SECTION 2. G. L. Alexander and Sterling
Cockrill, Jr. are hereby appointed as members of the Historic
District Commission, each to serve for a term of two (2) years com-
mencing the 16th day of July, 1963, and ending on the 16th day of July,

19 65 .
4 SECTION 3. Mrs. George Rose Smith and William L.
Terry are hereby appointed as members of the Historic
District Commission, each to serve for a term of three (3) years com-
mencing the 16th day of July, 1963, and ending on the 16th day of July,
1966.

SECTION 4. This resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
