A RESOLUTION GRANTING A FRANCHISE TO THE M. M. COHN CO. TO
ERECT AN ALUMINUM CANOPY ACROSS THE FRONT OF ITS STORE AT
510 MAIN STREET IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AND ALLOW SAME TO
EXTEND 9 FEET OVER THE SIDEWALK AREA AS SAME NOW EXISTS; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS, The M. M. Cohn Co . desires to install an aluminum canopy
across the front of its store at 510 Main Street; and
WHEREAS, a franchise permit is needed in order to accomplish this
installation;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1. The 14. M. Cohn Co . is hereby granted a franchise to
install an aluminum canopy across the front of its store building located
upon Lots 10, 11 and 12, Block 74, Original City of Little Rock, Pulaski
County, Arkansas, which canopy shall extend 9 feet from the building,
shall be 120 feet long and shall be 10 .5 feet at its lowest point above
the sidewalk area.
SECTION 2. The City of Little Rock retains the right to revoke
this franchise at any time said sidewalk area is needed for public pur-
poses and the said M. M. Cohn Co . shall be required to remove all im-
provements placed thereon by it and shall be required to pay all costs
attendant with the abandonment and removal of the said improvements from
said sidewalk area.
SECTION 3 . This resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption .
