hESOLUTION NO. 2,797
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN LAND
AND EQUIPMENT KNOWN AS THE "DREW FIRE STATION PROPERTY" ;
AUTHORIZING PAYMENT THEREFOR; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has annexed
certain territory unto it and is obligated to furnish municipal
facilities to the residents of said area; and
WHEREAS, the facilities of a fire station, including equip-
ment, are available for the price of Ten Thousand and No/100
Dollars ($10,000 .00) , which is a fair and reasonable price therefor;
and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Directors to acquire
by purchase the property and equipment available through the D.R.E.W.
Fire Protective Assn. , Inc. ;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD Of DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed
to purchase from the D.R.E.W. Fire Protective Assn . , Inc . , certain
real estate, improvements and fixtures thereon, and personal pro-
perty located therein, more specifically described in Section 2 here-
of, for the price of Ten Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($10,000 .00) .
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed
to acquire by purchase from the D.R.E.W. Fire Protective Assn . , Inc . ,
real estate described as follows:
Lots 9, 10 and 11, Block 7, PIKE ADDITION to
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, located
wholly within the NW4 of the NE4 of Section
23, Township 1 North, Range 13 West, in Pulaski
County, Arkansas .
And, is further authorized and directed to acquire a certain motor
vehicle identified as follows:
Truck - purchased 1953 :
Chevrolet 1953, 2-Ton heavy duty, cab and chassis
Serial Number-W535-34943
Motor Number-LEA 784271
And, to acquire other personalties described as follows :

500 gpm single-stage triple combination pumper
Mfgr. No . 903053; Pump No . 13064
400 gallon tank
300 feet special rubber covered high pressure hose
2 Elkhart Mystery nozzles
Extra Hose - purchased 1958:
400 feet 12 inch hose
400 feet 22 inch hose
2 11/2 inch nozzles
SECTION 3 . Upon proof of good and merchantable title to the
realty and all items of personalty above listed, the City Manager
and Director of Finance are authorized and directed to take in
the name of the City of Little Rock a Warranty Deed conveying fee
simple title to the real estate and improvements thereon, free and
clear of all encumbrances, and to take a Bill of Sale to all fix-
tures and personalties listed above, free and clear of all encum-
brances, and to pay to the D.R.E.W. Fire Protective Assn . , Inc. ,
the sum of Ten Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($10,000 .00) , which sum
shall be payable out of the Fire :department Construction Fund, Pro-
ject 12, which has heretofore been appropriated for the purpose
of acquiring fire stations within the City of Little Rock.
SECTION 4. This resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption .
