A RESOLUTION CREATING THE ARKANSAS ARTS CENTER CON-
STRUCTION FUND TO BE USED EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE PURPOSE
OF CONSTRUCTING THE ARKANSAS ARTS CENTER IN MACARTHUR
PARK; PROVIDING METHOD FOR DISBURSEMENTS FROM SAID
FUND; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby created a fund to be known
as "The Arkansas Arts Center Construction Fund, " which fund
shall be composed of contributions from any person, firm, corpo-
ration, or organization desiring to make contributions thereto.
Moneys deposited in said fund shall be used exclusively for
the purpose of constructing The Arkansas Arts Center in MacArthur
Park in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
SECTION 2. The Director of Finance of the City of Little
Rock is hereby authorized to accept contributions to said Fund
created in Section 1. herein. Such fund shall be separated
completely from the other funds of the City of Little Rock.
SECTION 3. Any person, firm, corporation or group de-
siring to contribute to the said Arkansas Arts Center Construction
Fund shall be privileged to do so, and may make such contributions
to the Fund in care of the Director of Finance of the City of
Little Rock, City Hall, Markham and Broadway Streets, Little Rock,
Arkansas.
SECTION 4. Following the appropriation by the Board of
Directors, the moneys in said Fund shall be disbursed by the City
Manager and Director of Finance in the same manner as other
public funds are disbursed, but only upon estimates approved by
the Architect for the construction project and the Board of
Trustees of The Arkansas Arts Center, or its Building Committee,

or upon charges approved by The Arkansas Arts Center, or its
Building Committee, for expenses incidental to actual construc-
tion.
SECTION 5. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
