A RESOLUTION COMMENDING MRS. EDGAR F . DIXON AND MR.
LEO H. GRIFFIN FOR THEIR SERVICES TO THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK AS MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS.
WHEREAS , Mrs. Edgar F. Dixon and Mr. Leo H. Griffin after
serving three (3) years as members of the first Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, choose not to seek re-election; and
WHEREAS , during their period of devoted service, both Mrs.
Dixon and Mr. Griffin gave unselfishly and untiringly of their
precious time and talents to the cause of government for all
citizens of this City based on policies designed and promulgated
to effect progress with efficiency and integrity; and
WHEREAS, more specifically under the leadership of Mr. Leo
H. Griffin a program designed to vastly improve needed arterial
thoroughfares within this City has and is being accomplished; and
WHEREAS , a program for the extension and improvement of park
and recreation facilities for all citizens of all ages has been
formulated and placed into effect due in large measure to the
imagination and talents of Mrs. Edgar F. Dixon; and
WHEREAS, the talents, energies and convictions of these two
individuals have contributed immeasurably to the cause of good
government and the establishment of enviable standards for the
governmental body of this municipality, the influence of which will
doubtlessly have a lasting effect on future Boards of Directors
of this City;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. On behalf of all citizens of this City the Board
of Directors desires and does hereby express to Mrs. Edgar F. Dixon
and Mr. Leo H. Griffin sincere appreciation for their contribution

to the cause of good government in this municipality and
affectionately extends to them and each of them best wishes
for a happy, prosperous and productive future.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed
to present signed copies of this Resolution to both Mrs.
Edgar F. Dixon and Mr. Leo H. Griffin.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
