A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY SIX
AND 23/100 DOLLARS ($136.23) TO GEORGE WARNER AND FARMERS INSURANCE
EXCHANGE AS FULL COMPROMISE AND SETTLEMENT FOR DAMAGES TO GEORGE
WARNER'S AUTOMOBILE ARISING OUT OF A COLLISION WITH A VEHICLE OWNED
BY THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Jity of Little Rock, Arkansas, by Ordinance No.
10 ,949 , established standards and procedure for the processing of
personal property damage claims made against the City of Little Rock,
which ordinance provided, among other things, that the City Manager
would have authority to settle and pay claims not exceeding One Hun-
dred Dollars ($100.00) ; and
WHEREAS, the claim of George Warner and Farmers Insurance Ex-
change exceeds the One Hundred Dollar ($100.00) limitation; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and City Attorney recommend that said
claim be settled for One Hundred Eighty Six and 23/100 Dollars ($136.23) ;
and
WHEREAS , the Board of Directors desires to authorize payment
to George Warner and Farmers Insurance Exchange of the sum of One
Hundred Eighty Six and 23/100 Dollars ($186.23) as full compromise
and settlement for damages to his vehicle;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby approved the expenditure of One
Hundred Eighty Six and 23/100 Dollars ($186 .23) to George Warner and
Farmers Insurance Exchange as full compromise and settlement for
damages to George Warner ' s vehicle arising out of a collision with a
vehicle owned by the City of Little Rock, which occurred on June 24,
1953, on Main Street between 5th and 6th Streets in the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas.
SECTION 2. The money paid pursuant to Section 1 of this Resolution
shall be charged to Account No. 5 .1 in accordance x• ith Section 6 of
Ordinance No. 10,949 .

SECTION 3. The City Manager and Director of Finance are
hereby authorized and directed to execute the necessary warrant
for the payment of money approved in Section 1 hereinabove.
SECTION 4. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
