A RESOLUTION MAKING APPOINTMENTS TO THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 597 .
WHEREAS, a Petition has been filed with the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, duly executed
by at least five property owners in Street Improvement District
No. 597 of the City of Little Rock, stating that JAMES B. FORD,
a member of the Board of Commissioners of said District, is now
deceased and that JAMES V. ELLIOTT, a member of said Board of
Commissioners , has moved from said District and has resigned
from the Board; and
WHEREAS, said petitioners request that such vacancies on
said Board of Commissioners be filled and recommended L. M.
HAWKINS, 3719 West Markham Street, Little Rock, Arkansas , and
DR. JERRY M. YOUNG, JR. , 121 South Oak Street, Little Rock,
Arkansas, to serve as such Commissioners :
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, that L. M. HAWKINS and DR. JERRY M.
YOUNG, JR. , who are both property owners and reside in Street
Improvement District No. 597 of Little Rock, are hereby
appointed to the Board of Commissioners of Street Improvement
District No. 597 of Little Rock, to fill the vacancies on such
Board created by the death of JAMES B. FORD and the resignation
of JAMES V. ELLIOTT.
ADOPTED this 21st day of November , 1960.
