A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE JOINING OF THE NORTH
LITTLE ROCK WATER WORKS COMMISSION IN AN AGREEMENT
FOR JOINT PLANNING COOPERATION NOW EXISTING BETWEEN
VARIOUS PUBLIC BODIES IN PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS,
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is a party to the Agree-
ment for Joint Planning Cooperation between the various public
bodies in Pulaski County, Arkansas, dated March 3, 1955, as
amended; and
WHEREAS, this Agreement for Joint Planning Cooperation
provides for the addition of other public bodies operating
within the area covered by the Joint Planning Cooperation
Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the North Little Rock Water Works Commission has,
by its action on August 12, 1960, requested that it be allowed
to join in the Agreement for Joint Planning Cooperation; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission of
Pulaski County, established under this Agreement, has, through
its Executive Committee at a meeting on September 28, 1960,
approved the joining of the North Little Rock Water Works Com-
mission in the Metropolitan Area planning effort and has
recommended to the parties to the Agreement that the Agreement
be amended as provided under Article 8 thereof, for the joining
in said Agreement of the North Little Rock Water Works Commission.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1. The recommendation of the Metropolitan Area
Planning Commission is hereby adopted, and the joining of the
North Little Rock Water Works Commission in the Agreement for
Joint Planning Cooperation is hereby approved.

SECTION 2. The Board of Directors of the City of Little
oct approves an amendment to the Agreement for Joint Planning
Cooperation to provide for representation of the North Little
ock Water 'vCorks Commission in the Metropolitan Area Planning
Commission of Pulaski County as set forth in the Agreement
and to provide for a contribution of sharing of costs for the
operation and maintenance of the Metropolitan Area rlanning
Commission.
SECTION 3. The ia.yor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
and airected to execute, if necessary, any and all documents
or to do any such things as are necessary to effect the intention
as manifested herein.
SECTION 4. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
