HomeMy WebLinkAbout2596 • RESOLUTION NO, 2.596 RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, SETTING THE DATE OF HEARING ON THE PETITION TO VACATE A PORTION OF WEST SIXTEENTH STREET LOCATED BETWEEN BLOCK D, OAK FOREST GARDENS ANNEX, AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, AND BLOCK 8, BATMAN'S SUBDIVISION OF CHERRY & COX ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 13th day of September, 1960, asking the Board of Directors to va- cate and abandon all of that portion of West Sixteenth Street from the platted drainage ditch running between Lots 14 and 15, Block D, Oak Forest Gardens Annex, 165 feet west to Hayes Street or University Avenue ; said portion of West Sixteenth Street being located between Block D, Oak Forest Gardens Annex, an addition to the City of Little Rock, appearing of record in Plat Book 4, Page 314, and Block 8, Batman' s Subdivision of Cherry & Cox Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, appearing of record in Plat Book 1, Page 91, in the office of the Circuit Clerk of Pulaski County, Arkansas, subject, however, to any public utility easements located in said street. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The hearing on said petition shall be held at the meeting of the Board of Directors in the City Hall at 7:30 „ o'clock P.M., on the 3rd day of October, 1960. SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed by law by publication once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks in a newspaper published in Pulaski County, Arkansas, and having general circulation in the City of Little Rock.
