A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER
TO PURCHASE CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK;
AUTHORIZING THE NECESSARY WARRANTS IN PAYMENT THEREOF;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed
to purchase from the Little Rock School Board the following described
property, to-wit:
All of Lot 273 of the Original City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, together with the Si of former 17th Street
abutting thereon and the Ni of former 18th Street
abutting thereon. ,
for a price not to exceed Thirty One Thousand Five Hundred and No/100
Dollars ( 31,500.00) .
SECTION 2. The warrants representing the purchase price of the
property described in Section 1 hereof shall be drawn on the Parks &
Airport Construction Fund, Project 34.
SECT1ON 3. The City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby
authorized and directed to execute the necessary warrants in payment of
the purchase price of the property described in Section 1 hereof in an
amount or amounts not to exceed Thirty One Thousand Five Hundred and
No/100 Dollars (01,500.00) ; provided, however, that no funds or moneys
shall be paid to the owner or owners of the property described in
Section 1 hereof until the City Attorneyts Office shall determine that
the City can obtain good and merchantable title for public purposes to
the said property from its now owners.
SECTION 4. This resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
