RESOLUTION NO. 2557
A RESOLUTION GRANTING FRED I . BROWN, JR. , AND JOSEPH W. BROWN THE PRIVILEGE
TO UTILIZE A CERTAIN PORTION OF THE UNOPENED DEDICATED EAST 17TH STREET IN
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK LYING EAST OF THE CHICAGO, ROCK ISLAND & PACIFIC
RAILROAD RIGHT OF WAY FOR THE PURPOSE OF CARRYING ON THE BUSINESS OF THE
ARKANSAS FOUNDRY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Fred I. Brown, Jr. , and Joseph W. Brown are hereby
granted the privilege to utilize a certain portion of the unopened dedicated
East 17th Street in the City of Little Rock lying East of the Chicago, Rock
Island & Pacific Railroad right-of-way for the purpose of carrying on the
business of the Arkansas Foundry. Said property is more particularly de-
scribed as follows:
such of the East 17th Street right-of-way as lies between
the East right-of-way line of the Chicago, Rock Island &
Pacific Railroad Company ' s right-of-way and the West line
of Lots 21 and 22, Manufacturer ' s Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, approximately 85 feet by 60 feet.
SECTION 2. The Grantees, Fred I. Brown, Jr. , and Joseph W. Brown,
shall pay to the City of Little Rock a privilege fee of One Dollar ($1.00)
annually on the anniversary date of this Resolution as rental for said lands.
SECTION 3. The City of Little Rock retains the right to revoke
this franchise at any time said land is needed for public purposes and the
said Fred I. Brown, Jr. , and Joseph W. Brown shall be required to remove
all improvements placed thereon by them and shall be required to pay all
costs attendant with the abandonment and removal of the said improvements
from said area.
SECTION 4. The privilege granted under this Resolution shall
be considered as accepted when the Grantees hereinmentioned have accepted
said privilege by officially signing a copy of said Resolution, which shall
be filed with the City Clerk.
SECTION 5. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.

ACCEPTANCE
We, Fred I. Brown, Jr. , and Joseph W. Brown, do hereby accept
the terms of Resolution No. 2557, granting the Arkansas Foundry Company
the privilege of utilizing a certain portion of the unopened dedicated
East 17th Street lying east of the Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railroad
Right of Way.
