A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING SINCERE APPRECIATION TO THE
FORDYCE LUMBER COMPANY FOR ITS GIFT OF A LOCOMOTIVE
TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK FOR DISPLAY AT THE E LITTT.F
ROCK MUNICIPAL ZOO; EXPRESSING SINCERE APPRECIATION
TO OTHER PERSONS AND FIRMS FOR ASSISTANCE IN CONNEC-
TION THEREWITH; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock does hereby express its
deep and sincere appreciation to the Fordyce Lumber Company,
Fordyce Arkansas; Mr. Glen Williams; Optimist Club; McConnell
Heavy Hauling Company; Sergeant Harold Zook, Jr. ; the Rock Island
Lines; and Big Rock Stone and Material Company for their respective
efforts, time, and facilities donated toward the end of placing a
locomotive in the Zoo at War Memorial Park, which locomotive was
donated to such use by the Fordyce Lumber Company of Fordyce,
Arkansas.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed to
certify a copy of this Resolution to the Fordyce Lumber Company of
Fordyce, Arkansas, and to the above named persons and firms.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
