A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE RESIGNATION OF LETCHER L. LANGFORD; COMMENDING
LETCHER L. LANGFORD FOR FAITHFUL AND MERITORIOUS SERVICE AS A MEMBER OF
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS , Letcher L. Langford was duly elected by the citizens of Little
Rock, Arkansas, to a position on the Board of Directors of the City on Nov-
ember 5 , 1957 ; and
WHEREAS , since taking office, Letcher L. Langford has displayed extreme
devotion to his position and great interest in the affairs of the City of
Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, the efforts of Mr. Langford, in his capacity as a Director
and cit .zen of the City of Little Rock, have been an inspiration to the
other members of said Board and of unequalled value in managing the affairs
of the City; and
WHEREAS , Letcher L. Langford has tendered his resignation as a member
of the Board of Directors effective mid-night May 16, 1960, and the Board
of Directors agrees to accept such resignation ;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The resignation tendered on this date by Letcher L. Lang-
ford, effective the 16th day of May, 1960, at 12:00 P.M. be, and the same
is hereby accepted.
SECTION 2. That Letcher L. Langford be, and he is hereby highly com-
mended and complimented for the diligent and faithful pursuit of the duties
of his office and for the unquestioned and exceptional contributions of
time and energy, unselfishly given, all of which has greatly benefited the
functioning of the government of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and
has greatly benefited each and every one of its citizens.
The Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, and each member
thereof, hereby exp-ress sincere thanks and appreciation to Mr. Letcher L.
Langford.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
