i RESOLUTION NO. 2529 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOW BID OF LANGLEY CONSTRUCTION COMPANY AND WOOTEN CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC. (A JOINT VENTURE) , IN THE AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED NINETY-NINE THOU- SAND EIGHT HUNDRED THIRTEEN AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($199,813. 00) FOR THE REMODELING OF CITY HALL; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE SAID CONSTRUCTION COMPANIES FOR THE REMODELING; AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, invitation for bids for the remodeling of City Hall in the City of Little Rock has been legally published; and WHEREAS, bids have been received and opened pursuant to said advertisement; and WHEREAS, the bid of Langley Construction Company and Wooten Construction Company, Inc. (a joint venture ) is the lowest bid sub- mitted therefor; and WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock desires to award the contract for the said remodeling to said construction companies ; and WHEREAS, the City has previously appropriated certain sums of money from the 1958 Bond Construction Funds for this project; and WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock desires to authorize the expenditure of One Hundred Ninety-Nine Thousand Eight Hundred Thirteen and No/100 Dollars (0_99,813.00) from the Public Buildings Construction Fund, Project 38, previously appropriated; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The low bid of Langley Construction Company and Wooten Construction Company, Inc. ( a joint venture ) in the amount of One Hundred Ninety-Nine Thousand Eight Hundred Thirteen and No/100 Dollars 0199,813.00) for the remodeling of City Hall in the City of Little Rock is hereby accepted. SECTION 2, The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into and execute an Agreement on behalf of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas with Langley Construction Company and Wooten Construction Company, Inc.
