A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND ADOPTING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
FOR THE PROPOSED MEADOWCLIFF FIRE STATION; REJECTING PRIOR BIDS
ON SAID PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS; AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISING FOR
NEW BIDS THEREON; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS , certain plans and specifications have been submitted to
the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock by McAninch &
Mahnker , Architects , for a proposed structure to be erected and used
as a fire station located on the New Benton Highway near Meadowcliff,
which plans and specifications are acceptable to the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS , the City of Little Rock has advertised for bids upon the
said plans and specifications and on July 31, 1959 , did take bids
pursuant to advertising therefor, none of which bids were acceptable
to the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS , it is the desire of the Board of Directors to advertise
for bids upon the said plans and specifications and to receive new
bids thereon;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1. The plans and specifications for a structure to be
used as a fire station to be ]ocated on the New Benton Highway near
Meadowcliff, prepared by McAninch & Mahnker, Architects , are accepted
by the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas .
SECTION- 2. All of the bids received by the City of Little Rock
on July 31, 1959 , are hereby rejected.
SECTION 3 . The City Manager is hereby directed and authorized
to readvertise for bids upon the plans and specifications described
in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 4. This resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption .
