A RESOLUTION FIXING DATE FOR THE HEARING ON A PETITION
TO RELEASE, CLOSE, VACATE AND ABANDON A PORTION OF
CUMBERLAND STREET IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS , W. P. Wilson, Jr. has filed with the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas , a petition praying that the
following described portion of Cumberland Street be released, closed ,
vacated and abandoned:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 11, Block 2 ,
Fulk' s Subdivision of Blocks 14, 15 and 16 , Rapley
Estate , in the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County,
Arkansas ; thence East for a distance of 60 feet to
the Southwest corner of Lot 6 , Block 3 of said sub-
division; thence North along the West line of said
Block 3 to the point where said line intersects an
arc , having a radius of 50 feet , extending from a
point 52 feet South and 30 feet West of the North-
west corner of Lot 3 of said Block 3; thence Westerly
along said arc to the East line of Lot 13 of said
Block 2 ; thence South along the East line of said
Block 2 to the point of beginning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, that:
Section 1. The 21st day of March, 1959 , at 7 : 30 P.M. , in the
Board of Directors ' Chamber , City Hall, Little Rock, Arkansas , is
hereby fixed as the time , date and place for the hearing upon the
petition of W. P. Wilson, Jr. to release , close , vacate and abandon
a portion of Cumberland Street in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas .
Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing by publication once
a week for two consecutive weeks in some newspaper published in the
County and having general circulation in the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas . This notice shall: (a) state the name of the person who
signed the petition; (b) state the name of the street and describe
the portion thereof to be vacated; and , (c) advise all persons that
at the time , date , and place set forth above , the Board of Directors
will hear and determine whether said portion of Cumberland Street
shall be vacated.
