A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE LITTLE ROCK POLICE FORCE AND
THE FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION FOR THEIR DILIGENT AND
SUCCESSFUL JOINT EFFORTS IN THE APPR-"In SION OF CRIMINALS
RESPONSIBLE FOR THE OUTRAGEOUS BOMBINGS, BOTH TO PUBLIC AND
PRIVATE PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, WHICH OCCURRED
ON THE 7TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1959;. AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, on Labor Day, the 7th day of September, 1959, our City
was the scene of outrageous bombings of both public and private pro-
perty; and
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Police Force and the Federal Bureau
of Investigation worked diligently, day and night, in close cooperation,
until criminals responsible for such bombings were apprehended, said
apprehension coming only within a very few hours after said incident;
and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors desires to publicly commend the
Little Rock Police Force and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for
a job well done;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Little Rock Police Force and the Federal Bureau
of Investigation are hereby commended for their diligent and successful
joint efforts in the apprehension of criminals responsible for the out-
rageous bombings of both public and private property which occurred in.
our City on the 7th day of September, 1959.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
