A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
TO EXECUTE CERTAIN PIPE LINE LICENSES WITH THE
MISSOURI PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY IN CONNECTION
WITH THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE SEWER TRUNK LINE
I'R OJECT NOW PLANNED ; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, in the construction of the additional 6o and 4.8
inch sewer trunk line along the South border of the city,
it will be necessary to construct said trunk lines under
the railroad tracks of the Missouri Pacific Railroad
Company, and
WHEREAS, before permission will be granted to the City,
the railroad company required the execution of a "Pipe
Line License" ;
NOW THEREFORE , BE IT RESOD,/ED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
Section 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, Pipe Line Licenses with the Missouri Pacific
Railroad Company, as follows :
Pipe Line License agreement dated January 15, 1959,
for permission to construct a 48 inch sewer main under the
Missouri Pacific tracks in Section 16, Township 1 North,
Range 12 West , Pulaski County, Arkansas .
Pipe Line License agreement dated January 15, 1959,
for permission to construct a 60 inch sewer main under the
Missouri Pacific tracks in Section 13, Township 1 North,
Ran;e 12 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas .
In each of the above mentioned agreements the City
agrees to indemnify the railroad company from all claims
and damages resulting from or arising out of the laying,
maintenance , and repair of the sewer line , and will construct
said lines according to the specifications furnished by the
railroad company.
Section 2. This resolution will be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption and approval.
