RESOLUTION NO . 2182
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS , TO APPOINT A COMMITTEE COMPOSED OF THREE
MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS, OF WHICH THE MAYOR
SHALL BE EX OFFICIO A MEMBER , FOR THE PURPOSE OF MAKING
A STUDY OF CIVIL DEFENSE FOR THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS, AND IN CONNECTION THEREWITH RECOMMEND APPROPRIATE
ACTION TO BE TAKEN ON A TRAFFIC CONTROL PLAN FOR THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
WHEREAS, there is a need for a study of the matter of
Civil Defense in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and ;
WHEREAS , in connection therewith there necessarily is a
need for study of a traffic control plan for said City;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1 . The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed
to appoint from the Board of Directors a Civil Defense Committee
composed of three members, of which said Mayor shall serve as
Ex Officio member, with the duty and responsibility of making a
complete study of the matter of Civil Defense and its' implications
insofar as the City of Little Rock, Arkansas is concerned and make
recommendations thereon to the Board of Directors .
SECTION 2 . Said Committee shall further study and recommend
approval or disapproval to the Board of Directors , a Traffic Control
Plan for the City of Little Rock, Arkansas which is now being
considered by the Acting Chief of Police .
SECTION 3 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
