A RESOLUTION =PPOII';TING E. JACK MURPHY, ACTING CITY CLERK OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WH EAS , W. C . Ware has resigned as City Clerk of the City of
Little Rocs , Arkansas , effective December ?1, 1957; and
WHEREAS , For the time being it is necessary to have someone act
in the capacity as City Clerk pending formulation of permanent organization
for performing the duties of the Office of City Clerk.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED EY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That E. Jac:,. Murphy in addition to his duties as
Acting Finance Officer of the City of Little Rock be, and he is hereby
appointed effective January 1, 1958, on a temporary basis Acting City Clerk
with full and complete responsibilities for performing the duties of said
office.
SECTION 2. The appointment herein provided for shall in no
way affect the Civil Service status of said E. Jack Murphy as now exists .
SECTION Said. Actin`; City Clerk shall. procure Surety Bond in
the amount of *10, C00. 00 to be approved by the City Attorney and the
Board of Directors .
SECTION 4. All resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed and this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after the adoption thereof.
