HomeMy WebLinkAbout2144 RESOLUTION N0. 21)4 A RESOLUTION FIXING THE DATE AND PROVIDING FOR NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING ON A PETITION TO VACATE AND ABANDON THAT PART OF J STREET BETWEEN NORTH FILLIORE STREET AND NORTH TAYLOR STREET BOUNDED ON THE NORTH BY BLOCK 5 AND ON THE SOUTH BY BLOCK 12 OF THE HOLLENBERG ABDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK. Wl EREAS, ROGER P. GOULD, ! S. ROGER P. GOULD, EARL ?r. KELONE, MRS. EARL V. KELONE, N. J. LUEKEN, MRS. N. J. LUEKEN, H. P. CALDIELL AND MRS. H. P. CALD:'ELL, have fully filed a petition with the City Council of Little Rock on ;he L}. day of April, 1957, asking that the City Council close, vacate, and abandon that part of J Street between North Fillmore Street and North Taylor Street and bound on the north by Block 5 and on the south by Block 12 of Holienberg Addition to the City of Little Rock, and WHEREAS, the petitioners have properly designated the portion of the street and filed a photostat of the plat showing said portion together with the abutting block and lot numbers, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARK- ANSAS, in regular meeting assembled this 8 day of April , 1957, that the day for the hearing on this petition shall be Ap r1,l 29j_ , 1957, at 8:00 P. M. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is directed to give notice of the hearing by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in a newspaper of county;wide distribution, the notice to state the names of the persons signing the petition, the name of the portion of the street, the abutting lot and block numbers, and the day certain on which the City Council will hear and determine whether J Street between North Fillmore Street and North Taylor Street shall be closed and abandoned. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption by the City Council and approval by the Layor.
