A RESOLUTION FIXING THE DATE FOR A/HEARING ON A PETITION
TO VACATE, ABANDON AND CLOSE TWO ALLEYS RUNNING EAST AND
WEST FROM ELM STREET TO MAGNOLIA AVENUE IN BLOCK 62,
BRADDOCK' S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK , ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS , Paul Goodwin and Frieda Goodwin, his wife, and
Charley H. Sutton and Clemonteen Sutton, his wife, have filed with
the Little Rock City Council a petition praying that two alleys
running East and West from Elm Street and Magnolia Avenue, one of
them between Lots 9 and 10, the other between Lots 7 and 8, as
shown by PLAT and Bill of Assurance dated June 20, 1901, recorded
in Deed Record "AB" at pages 331-3 be vacated, abandoned and closed,
and have alleged that they are the sole owners of all the property
abutting said alleys .
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY_ OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1, That the 8th day of April, 1957 at 8 P. M.
in the City Council chambers is the date fixed for the hearing of
this petition.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas give Notice of such hearing by publication, once a week for
two (2) consecutive weeks in some newspaper published in the County
and having a general circulation in the City stating in said Notice
the name of the Petitioners , the description of the alleys to be
vacated, a description of the abutting real property, and advising
all persons that on the date named above, the Council will hear
the petition and determine whether said alleys shall be vacated,
