A RESOLUTION URGING SUPPORT OF THE ARKANSAS TRAVELERS, LITTLE
ROCK' S SOUTHERN ASSOCIATION BASEBALL TEAM, BY THE CITIZENRY
OF THE CITY OF LITTT,F ROCK BY PURCHASING ADMISSION TICKETS IN
THE ADVANCE TICKET SALE.
WHEREAS, the citizens of Arkansas were deprived the enjoyment
of organized baseball in Little Rock when the Franchise was moved to
Montgomery, Alabama for the last part of the 1956 season; and
WHEREAS, the Franchise for the Arkansas Travelers has been
returned to Little Rock for the 1957 season; and
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Baseball Club will need the support
of Arkansas baseball fans to field a pennant-contending team and to
insure the continuance of organized baseball in Little Rock; THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED , That the Little Rock City Council urge all
citizens to support the Arkansas Travelers by purchasing admission
tickets in the advance ticket sale which will get underway March 12,
1957.
