A RESOLUTION DIRECTING AND AUTHORIZING 0. D. LONGSTRETH, JR. ,
CITY ATTORNEY OF TEE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, TO INTER-
VENE IN AN APPLICATION OF THE ARKANSAS POWER & LIGHT COMPANY
FOR APPROVAL OF AN AMENDMENT TO ITS EXISTING FUEL PRICE
ADJUSTMENT CLAUSE TO ITS RATE SCHEDULES, WHICH IS FILED AS
DOCKET NO. U-1027 BEFORE THE ARKANSAS PUBLIC SERVICE COMMIS-
SION, ON BEiIP LF OF THE CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK
AND OF THE CITY OF LI TTT,F; ROCK, REQUESTING THE CITY CLERK T0
FURNISH A CERTIFIED COPY OF SAID RESOLUTION TO THE CITY
ATTORNEY FOR FILING WITH TEE ARKANSAS PUBLIC SERVICE C011l' S-
SION, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a new rate schedule was filed by the Arkansas Power
& Light Company under Docket I;o. U-1027; and
WI REAS, under Section 1 of Rule 2 of the Rules of Practice
and Procedure of the Arkansas Public Service Commission, it is
necessary that the City Council of the City of Little Rock pass a
Resolution directing and authorizing the City Attorney to intervene
on behalf of the citizens of Little Rock, Arkansas who are consumers
of electricity supplied by said Company and of the City of Little
Rock in this matter;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIE CI1`Y COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That 0. D. Longstreth, Jr. , City Attorney for the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas , be and he is hereby directed, author-
ized and empowered to intervene, on behalf of residents of the City
of Little Rock who are consumers of electricity supplied by the
Arkansas Power & Light Company and of the City of Little Rock, in an
application of the Arkansas Power & Light Company for approval of an
amendment to its existing fuel price adjustment clause to its rate
schedules, which is filed as Docket No. U-1027 before the Arkansas
Public Service Commission.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk is hereby requested to furnish
said C. D. Longstreth, Jr. , City Attorney, with a certified copy of
this Resolution so that he may attach it to any Intervention which
he may find it necessary to file in Docket I io. U-1027 before the
Arkansas Public Service Commission.
SECTION 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption by the City Council and approval
by the Mayor.
