Whereas, Mr. William Lee Pendergrass was summoned to his
reward by the Great Creator of the Universe on
April 9, 1955 and
Whereas, He served the City of Little Rock faithfully and
well as Purchasing Agent from April 8, 1947 to
April 9, 1955. His faithful attendance to his
job and at all times being extra precautious saw
that the city got value received from every dollar
spent, and
Whereas, He was highly respected by the Citizens of Little
Rock, Arkansas and was always interested in doing
a better job, and
Whereas, He was a devoted husband and father and did
everything to contribute to their happiness, and
Whereas, He was greatly loved by his neighbors and many
friends and will be sadly missed by all his loved
ones, neighbors, associated acauzitances as well
as the City Officers and Employees,
Therefore, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, that, in the passing of
Mr. William Lee Pendergrass our City has lost a
valued employee, a patriotic citizen and his
family a much loved husband and father, and
Be it further resolved, that this City Council mourns the
loss of such a valued employee and devoted servant
to the City and that this Resolution be entered upon
the permanent records of the City of Little Rock,
and the Clerk thereof send a copy to his family.
