A RESOLUTION DIRECTING AND .<<UTHORIZING 0. D. LONGSTRETH, JR. ,
CITY ATTORNEY OF THE CITY OF LITTTR ROCK, ARKANSAS, TO INTER-
VENE IN AN APPLICATION OF THE ARKANSAS LOUISIANA GAS COMPANY -
RATE SCHEDUTF 3-B - TO INCRFASE COST OF GAS TO LARGE INDUSTRIAL
CONSUMERS, WHICH IS FILED AS DOCKET NO. U-1016 BEFORE TEE
ARKANSAS PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION, ON BEHALF OF THE CITTIZENS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AND OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
REQUESTING THE CITY CLERK TO FURNISH A CERTIFIED COPY OF SAID
RESOLUTION TO Thy CITY ATTORNEY FOR FILING WITH THE ARKANSAS
PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a new rate schedule was filed by the Arkansas Louisi-
ana Gas Company under Docket No. U-1016; and
WHEREAS, under Section 1 of Rule 2 of the Rules of Practice
and Procedure of the Arkansas Public Service Commission, it is
necessary that the City Council of the City of Little Rock pass a
Resolution directing and authorizing the City Attorney to intervene
on behalf of the citizens of Little Rock, Arkansas who are consumers
of gas supplied by said Company and of the City of Little Rock in
this matter;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1. That 0. D. Longstreth, Jr. , City Attorney for the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, be and he is hereby directed, author-
ized and empowered to intervene, on behalf of residents of the City
of Little Rock who are consumers of gas supplied by the Arkansas
Louisiana Gas Company and of the City of Little Rock, in an appli-
cation of the Arkansas Louisiana Gas Company for higher rates to
large industrial consumers, which is filed as Docket No. U-1016
before the Arkansas Public Service Commission.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk is hereby requested to furnish
said O. D. Longstreth, Jr. , City Attorney, with a certified copy of
this Resolution so that he may attacn it to any Intervention whicn
he may find it necessary to file in Docket No. U-1016 before the
Arkansas Public Service Commission.
SECTION 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption by the City Council and approval
by the Mayor.
